If you want to go hiking, we recommend the trail to the Hollow of the Great Lake – one of the largest postglacial lakes in the Karkonosze Mountains.
If you visit Karpacz – then Mount Śnieżka. And if you visit Śnieżka – that means skiing!
The ski resort at Mount Śnieżka is a superb place to ski or snowboard. The slopes are very well taken care of and the diversity of routes means you don’t have to wait long in queues for the lifts to enjoy winter.

A good start to visiting Szklarska Poręba is a walk to the “Golden View” - one of the most beautiful viewing points in the Sudeten Region.
You must see the gorgeous Szklarka and Kamieńczyk Waterfalls. The finale might be an escapade to Szrenica and the Three Pigs (Trzy Świnki) – famous Karkonosze Rocks. You should also mark on your map the charming Chojnik Castle and the Mineral Museum.
And now... skiing!
In the Szrenica centre there awaits the “Lolobrygida”, the “Śnieżynka” and the famous “Puchatek” – brilliantly maintained ski runs with various levels of difficulty. If you want really want to let loose, then Szklarska Poręba will more than satisfy your expectations!
